We enjoyed the great opportunity during my friend's (Kiran) venue in Toronto to go to a NBA game: Raptors vs. Celtics.
We went to the Air Canada Centre (here all the sport/convention centres are sponsored by companies: Air Canada, Rogers, Metro,...). The NBA is about entertainment. The stadium is huge and crowded. The atmosphere is lively. The music never stops. At every game stop, there is a show and more music! I felt more like going to a party than a sport game. Sometimes, I did not even realize the game was playing again due to the music, the ambience around!
It was a real north-American experience. Next step: hockey game!
